📱 Android Ringtone Installation

If you downloaded a ringtone from the Popz Place Downloads page, here is how to set it up directly on your Android phone.

Set Up Directly On Your Phone

  1. Tap the ringtone download link on the Downloads page. Your phone downloads a .zip file.
  2. Open your file manager app (Files by Google, Samsung My Files, etc.) and go to the Downloads folder.
  3. Tap the .zip file to extract it. Inside you will find an .m4a audio file (for example, Shake It 2_8_22.m4a or The Rite Time(Android).m4a).
  4. Long-press the .m4a file and look for an option like:
    • Set as ringtone
    • Use as ringtone
    • Move to Ringtones
If you see Set as ringtone — tap it and you are done.
  5. If you don't see that option, copy or move the .m4a file into the Ringtones folder on your phone:
    Internal Storage > Ringtones
(If the Ringtones folder does not exist, create it.)
  6. Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Phone ringtone. Your new ringtone should appear in the list. Select it and tap Save.
  7. Done! Have someone call you to test it out.

Using a Computer (Alternative)

  1. Download the ringtone ZIP to your computer.
  2. Extract it to get the .m4a file.
  3. Connect your Android phone via USB cable.
  4. Copy the .m4a file to the Ringtones folder on your phone:
This PC > [Your Phone] > Internal Storage > Ringtones
  5. On your phone, go to Settings > Sound > Phone ringtone and select your new ringtone.
