📱 Android Ringtone Installation
If you downloaded a ringtone from the Popz Place Downloads page, here is how to set it up directly on your Android phone.
Set Up Directly On Your Phone
- Tap the ringtone download link on the Downloads page. Your phone downloads a
.zip file.
- Open your file manager app (Files by Google, Samsung My Files, etc.) and go to the Downloads folder.
- Tap the
.zip file to extract it. Inside you will find an .m4a audio file (for example, Shake It 2_8_22.m4a or The Rite Time(Android).m4a).
- Long-press the
.m4a file and look for an option like:
- Set as ringtone
- Use as ringtone
- Move to Ringtones
If you see Set as ringtone — tap it and you are done.
- If you don't see that option, copy or move the
.m4a file into the Ringtones folder on your phone:
Internal Storage > Ringtones
(If the Ringtones folder does not exist, create it.)
- Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Phone ringtone. Your new ringtone should appear in the list. Select it and tap Save.
- Done! Have someone call you to test it out.
Using a Computer (Alternative)
- Download the ringtone ZIP to your computer.
- Extract it to get the
.m4a file.
- Connect your Android phone via USB cable.
- Copy the
.m4a file to the Ringtones folder on your phone:
This PC > [Your Phone] > Internal Storage > Ringtones
- On your phone, go to Settings > Sound > Phone ringtone and select your new ringtone.
