📱 iPhone Ringtone Installation

If you downloaded a ringtone from the Popz Place Downloads page, here is how to set it up on your iPhone.

Important: iPhones require ringtones in .m4r format. The Popz Place ringtones are already provided in the correct format: You cannot set a custom ringtone on iPhone using only Safari downloads. You will need either GarageBand (free app) or a computer.

Method 1: GarageBand (Free — No Computer Needed)

  1. Download the free GarageBand app from the App Store if you don't already have it.
  2. On the Downloads page, tap the iPhone ringtone link:
    • Shake It: a .zip file downloads. Tap it in Safari to extract — you will get a .m4r file. Tap Save to Files and choose a folder.
    • The Rite Time: a .m4r file downloads directly. Tap Save to Files.
  3. Open GarageBand. If it asks to create a new project, choose Audio Recorder and tap the microphone icon.
  4. Tap the Loop icon (top right — looks like a loop / circle).
  5. Tap the Files tab at the top of the loop browser.
  6. Browse to where you saved the .m4r file in the Files app. Tap and drag it into the timeline at the top.
  7. Tap the down arrow (top left) and choose My Songs. Your project saves automatically.
  8. Find your song in the GarageBand browser. Long-press it and choose Share.
  9. Tap Ringtone. Give it a name and tap Export.
  10. After export, tap Use sound as... and choose Standard Ringtone.
  11. Done! Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone to confirm.

Method 2: Using a Mac or PC

  1. Download the ringtone file to your computer:
    • Shake It: download the .zip, extract to get the .m4r
    • The Rite Time: download the .m4r directly
  2. Connect your iPhone to the computer with a USB cable. Unlock it and tap Trust This Computer if prompted.
  3. Mac: Open Finder and click your iPhone in the sidebar.
    PC: Open iTunes and click the iPhone icon.
  4. Drag the .m4r file into the Tones section (Finder) or On My Device > Tones (iTunes).
  5. Wait for the sync to finish.
  6. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone. Your new ringtone appears at the top.
